Kamani is a word used in the past for vayal, the fertile land. one should not confuse the word with Kazhani, which also gives the same meaning.
In Trichy district there are two villages called Sirukamani and Perukamani, the meaning of the terms are smaller vayal and larger vayal.
First I tried to type this passage in Tamil. But I could not. Then I typed this in my computer in M S Words and tried to paste it. But the characters were juked. As I have no other option I typed this in English
